At Outside Voice Counselling, we understand that the body often carries experiences long after the mind has moved on. Somatic therapy is one of the ways we help people explore this connection between body and mind.
In our sessions, we do not rush or force change. Instead, we slow down and pay attention to what is happening in the present moment. By tuning into the body, people often discover new insights that might not surface through talking alone. This process can open up opportunities for awareness, resilience, and healing.
Many of us carry experiences in our bodies that words alone cannot fully capture. When we practice somatic therapy, we pay attention to the small cues the body gives—tension, stillness, or shifts in energy. Together, we explore these signals at a pace that feels comfortable. Over time, this kind of awareness can help people feel more settled in themselves and lighten the strain that daily life sometimes carries.
For us, somatic therapy is not about techniques or quick fixes—it is about creating a respectful, supportive space where body and mind can work together. We value curiosity, compassion, and collaboration in this process.
At Outside Voice Counselling, our role is to walk alongside you as you learn to notice and trust what your body is communicating, allowing growth and change to take shape in a way that feels genuine and grounded.
